Modern Day Care Center

The aim and objective of Model Day Care Centre is to provide day care facilities such as indoor & outdoor play activities, recognition of pre-educational activities i.e. Numbers, Alphabets, Swar-Vyanjan, Rhymes, Stories etc. through projector, all weather living facilities with natural day light, much more activities with educational toys, Mid Day Meal, child friendly washrooms, other child friendly facilities & activities between 9 am to 5 pm at Bal Bhawan, Panchkula to the children of age group between 6 months to 6 years of working mothers and other needy one. At present, there is a capacity of 25 children in the Model day Care Centre. In which 20% seats reserved for the Children belongs to BPL Families and rest of seats are paid with nominal welfare fund of Rs. 300/- per month. Ten percent students related to BPL/Economically Weaker Sections Families are taking admission free of cost.

Childline (1098)

It is a Day-Night 24x7 Telephonic Service of Ministry of Women and Child Development which is operating through Child India Foundation. This Telephone Helpline (1098) operates for Children in distress and to be used by general public or any Authority for the protection of distress children in any situation by way of a little step i.e. only make a call at 1098 for the Protection of any distress children to be found anywhere any time. District Council for Child Welfare at Bal Bhawan, Nyaypuri, Panchkula operates this Child Line 1098 service for distress children of District Panchkula and its surrounding area since September 2012 and solved 3500 cases of distress children as well as spread awareness about the scheme to around 5 Lakh General Public through Open Houses & Outreach Campaigns.

Adoption Window

Haryana State Council for Child Welfare is a State Nodal Agency for adoption process for the cases of Haryana State through Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) which is a statutory body of Ministry of Women and Child Development Authority of India. All District Councils as a branch of Haryana State Council for Child Welfare have adoption window at Bal Bhawan at each District Head Quarter of Haryana State as a helping hand of adoptive parents. • Adoption means a legal process that allowed someone to become the parent of a child, even though the parent and child are not related by blood. But in every other way, adoptive parents are the child’s parents.

Summer Vacation Camp

District Council for Child Welfare, Panchkula organizes Summer Vacation Camp every year for the children of District Panchkula during their summer vacations. In which, different level of skills activities are providing to the children such as Art & Craft Activities- Painting, Card Making, Paper Craft, Water Color, Calligraphy, Rangoli, Best out of Waste, Mandala Art & 3D Thermocol Model Making, Yoga, Meditation & Surya Namaskar, Marshal Arts, Aerobics, Dance Classes, various Home Science Activities- Cutting Tailoring, Fashion Designing-Fabric Painting, Beauty Care, Cooking, Personality Development Classes such as English Grammar and Vocabulary, Soft Skills-English Communication, Computing Skill, Value Inculcation and Moral Values, Positive Parenting, Carrier Counseling, Child Counseling & Diet Plan Sessions. Every Year, Children from Economically Backward Sections and Student from Government School took benefit of Summer Vacation Activities/Skills free of cost.
